Tâl-Rimmon ("the foot of Mount Rimmon") is a small town in western Anórien, ruled by Lord Barahir.
Summary
Tâl-Rimmon was founded in the early Third Age as a simple quarrying settlement. It grew in affluence through much of Gondor’s history due to the kingdom's many massive building projects. In later days however, as the quarrying of new stone diminished, the wealth of the town has dried up. The largest source of wealth for the town would be the cattle market, bringing in livestock from Rohan and provincial Anórien. Most residents of the town are farmers or herdsmen, with a decent sized taverna to accommodate merchants traveling through the area.
