Forochel ('Northern Ice') is a region of icy tundra in the far north of Eriador, surrounding the great Bay of Forochel. It is inhabited by the Lossoth, a hardy tribe of men descended from the Forodwaith. Most of the Lossoth live on the Cape of Forochel, with smaller settlements persisting on the shores of the Icebay itself.
The Lossoth are well-adapted to the harsh conditions of the north, building homes of turf, hides and snow. They live as hunters and fisherfolk.
